Funny things happen over Hookah Pipes. I found out that I wasn’t the only one in my circle with an an appreciation for Swedish group, Little Dragon.

Little Dragon “Recommendation”

This group receives rotation daily, almost becoming an essential listen. They’re at this awkward stage, Right on the brink of fame. Those aware of them are most likely fans as well.  those that don’t will most likely become fans. They have been out since at least 2007, and are slowly gaining momentum in the music world.

In this day it is difficult to say, but while I cannot say that  they have a completely unconventional sound, they’re attacking soul from a different angle. I’ve read that it’s considered Jazz, and I must admit, I was never really a Jazz fan. But if this is Jazz..I’m a fan and eager to find more that sound like them. They’re electronica, neo-soul, which creates one of the most unique, savor-able sounds I’ve heard come out of Sweden on the soul side of things. The voice of lead singer, Yukimi, reminds you of Erykah Badu meets  Bjork, NO LIE. Listen for yourself.
