Yelawolf X B.o.B: The New School Rocks The Crowd

Two artists steadily on the come up, Yelawolf and B.o.B performed recently at Smith’s Olde Bar. I’ve already posted about Bobby Ray aka B.o.B here on The Eargasm, but if you haven’t heard of Yelawolf by now, most would agree that you’re missing out on a uniquely talented artist. YW is a product of Alabama and has been putting out records since ‘05. It’s sad that it has taken this long for his buzz to finally spread like wildfire. Last year he was on the Slim Thug single “I Run” and this year his name has gotten around even more thanks to a mixtape entitled Trunk Muzik, and his vocals on Juelz Santana’s “Mixin’ Up the Medicine” along with its Rik Cordero directed video. I think it’s safe to say he’s an abstract artist and the game hasn’t seen anything like him before. It’s going to be interesting to watch what happens next with the ‘bama native.
Check out the video which includes energetic performances from both artists. Yelawolf gets the crowd jumping with “Good to Go” which features Bun B while B.o.B goes in on “Bet I” feat. Playboy Tre off his May 25th mixtape. Both of these southerners are definitely some of the premiere stars in the new wave of Hip-Hop. (Warning “Good to Go” may become a problem in the club, i.e. Lil Scrappy “Knuck If You Buck” and Bonecrusher “Never Scared”).
