Since posting a lil bit about he awesomely talented, amazing, an gorgeous Joya. She went and got herself a little McDonald’s commercial that errr aired during the Grammy’s. #POW 5 question form Joya.. And shout out to that guy who said he could be her DJ cause he had a “full schedule”.. Yeah…NICE TO MEET YA!

1). What Gives you an Eargasm?
Wahwahweewah! I would say anything with extreme musicianship. E.g. Key changes, anything that is not in typical 4/4 time, syncopation, picardi-thirds and whatnot. But music has changed so much, well, it has become more…convenient for lack of a better term. Its more simplistic which makes it more to the point…good thing, maybe? So an Eargasm is the energy that can come from a song and break past situational barriers; penetrate your serotonin sac and take you exactly where your subconscious or your conscious psyche wants to go at that very moment. Oh and it also makes for a delightful trending topic on Twitter.
2). Album or work with a Guaranteed Eargasm Experience other than yours(or that your directly affiliated with)?
Jeff Buckley’s “Grace” Album! Sonically delicious! The song “Such Great Heights” by the Postal Service and “Maggot Brain” from The Funkadelics.
3) Something you learned this week.
Basquiat was way hot. RIP

4) Song you would wake up to every morning if you could?
“Massage Situation” by Flying Lotus then “Right Now” by Devin the Dude.
Flying Lotus – Massage Situation by TheEargasm
5) We’re tired of Swag. Give us your alternative to the overused word.
I get super slangtacular at times…My word of choice has been dougie for a while. For example ”Eargasm, I’m diggin’ your dougie”! Or like another example can be ”Jumping Jehosafats! Joya Bravo got super dougie on that ‘Onto the Next remix’ on her new project thats about to drop entitled ‘Move in Day’.” (Don’t judge me, thank you.)

5 Questions with Soundwavve

I have had the opportunity to check out production artist duo Soundwavve on at least 3 occasions. They’re making their rounds here in NYC and I believe that they’ll be picking up momentum as 2010 rolls ins. I’ve seen them share the stage with Curtis Santiago and Christian Rich, and now, they share 5 Questions with some of our prestigious alumni.
1). What Gives you an Eargasm?
cute, short hood girls talking…uhm….hoodly.
2). Album or work with a Guaranteed Eargasm Experience other than yours(or that your directly affiliated with)?
Songs About Girls by Will.I.AM and The Recession by Jeezy. it depends what kind of day it is. for instance, If a freakin’ broad dont know how to act, you might have to make it a gangster day. Or if a young lady is just making you feel the best, you wanna only hear songs about girls. and hopefully its a nice day ’cause Will has a song about Mother Nature in there too. (she’s a girl too, you know.)
3) Something you learned this week.
we learned that it’s ok to trick on girls; and we’re some trick ass dudes. and we also learned something in the natural sciences about a toad that tumbles off the side of a cliff to get away from a tarantula trying to eat him.
4) Song you would wake up to every morning if you could?
Church by Young Jeezy or Letter to Hermione by Bowie. both Jeezy & Bowie are dope enough to start the day off.

5) We’re tired of Swag. Give us your alternative to the overused word.
WAVVY!…with 2 V’s please. (seeing that word written is kinda cool, all the letters are spiky letters, there’s no roundness in the word. we were joking about replacing swag with another word that will eventually probably become just as tiring, and overused, and then Eargasm is going to have to ask, “WAVVY sucks, let’s have a better one.” but the word look cool. it’s punk. ha.)
our official answer is Punk! E.g.: “that’s so punk.”

So we are elated to present Jesse’s answers to TheEagrasm.com’s 5 Question. Enjoy. Watch the video and Cop the album (click on the image at bottom).

1). What Gives you an Eargasm?
Squarepusher, Quantic, Radiohead, Bjork, The Flaming Lips. I suppose anything progressive..
2). Album or work with a Guaranteed Eargasm Experience other than yours(or that your directly affiliated with)?
What?
3) Something you learned this week.
I learned that your brain produces dopemine during moments of pleasure as a reward to body for survival. When someone smokes meth the drug forces the brain to produce more of this dopemine, an amount that the brain can’t naturally produce on its own. Over time the brain tries to defend itself by shutting off those neurons that produce the dopemine which throws off the natural balance. Thus an addict is born, fighting to stay normal. Lol
4) Song you would wake up to every morning if you could?
The Dogg Pound – Big Pimpin
5) Eargasm or Orgasm? Or
5 Questions with Outasight
October 15, 2009 by rap
Filed under 5 Questions, Blog, Interviews
Outasight caught our eye in late 2008 with “Good Morning”. You can say that his 5 questions are well overdue. Based on recent material we’ve been hearing, he’s evolving nicely, which is Fantastical because he was already dope. Here goes… and listen to one of his newest tracks while you read…
Outasight “Catch Me If You Can” by TheEargasm
1). What Gives you an Eargasm?
Hearing music that can change your mood, that can give you chills, that can even put a tear in your eye. When music can conjure a different emotion than the one you are already feeling, whether vocally or instrumentally, it’s eargasm time…
2). Album or work with a Guaranteed Eargasm Experience other than yours(or that your directly affiliated with)?
D’Angelo’s Voodoo is definitely Eargasm material. There is such a groove and feel on the album that can’t be explained, only enjoyed.
Sgt. Pepper’s…by The Beatles is another album to me that has an unmatched sonic and melodic tone that is second to none…Truly genius stuff we’re talking…Or how about hearing a Stevie Wonder record, I mean, there’s so many of em, but take a record like “As” and just listen as it keeps building and building with emotion, vocals, and music, whew, it’s insane!
3) Something you learned this week.
I learned that the word “good” sucks. Especially when it comes to music, I don’t want to be good, or make good music…I want to make great music! To me, it’s either great or it’s not. Also, if you’re afraid that something might not turn out great, well then you will never be great…It might sound crazy, but I am learning that one must take it as far as they can go when it comes to making records, and that’s what I plan on doing…
4) Song you would wake up to every morning if you could?
The Rascals “It’s a Beautiful Morning” ahah why not…
5) We’re tired of Swag. Give us your alternative to the overused word.
Swag is very tired. Haha. Self confidence is important in succeeding though, so, how about good old fashioned “charisma.” It goes along way, carrying yourself with some self esteem, cause if you believe in yourself, others around you will tend to as well…Whatever you gotta do to not use swag, do it! ahaha
LoL @ good ol fashioned Charisma.. thanks Sight.
