Inglourious Basterds
Let me just start off saying that I am a Quentin Terrantino fan, so this post may come off a little biased. On Saturday, (a week after I’d like), I finally got the opportunity to check out Inglourious Basterds. This movie is my favorite movie of 2009 to date, There’s something about Terratino, that allows his movies to retain an indie feel, while having access to larges names and a large budget. I was not exactly sure what to expect upon seeing this movie, as I had not seen a trailer and went solely upon my faith in Terrantino as a director, but this movie held my attention. All 2 hours and 36 minutes of it. Definitely a must see. In the theater, not at home on bootleg.
May I add that I loved, Brad pitts accent.

Another notch in our 5 questions belt. We get the UK’s Neon hitch to answer our 5 Questions. Not only is she incredibly gorgeous, she leaves a little bit of mystery, while divulging the question everyone wants to know…Eargasm or Orgasm!
1). What Gives you an Eargasm? An amazing live performance!
2). Album or work with a Guaranteed Eargasm Experience other than yours(or that your directly affiliated with)? Album
3) Something you learned this week- to never doubt yourself
4) Song you would wake up to every morning if you could? Eagle Eye cherry “Save tonight”
5) Eargasm or Orgasm? EARGASM by FAR!.. the pleasure last wayyyy longer!
Thunderheist
If that name doesn’t make you question what the hell is going on with this group, then you don’ have a pulse. Who knows how I was exposed to Thunderheist, but after hearing “Jerk it”, I immediately purchased he album. For the record “Jerk It” has nothing to do with the guys every one loves to hate, The New Boyz. Thunderheist group originates from Canada and is currently on tour in Japan. i really hope they come stateside, becase that show, will be one to tell my grandkids about…or maybe not.
http://www.vimeo.com/1124192Thunderheist, though the name may sound big, bad,a nd heavy, is comprised of Isis and Graham. A few of their albums get heavy spin by DJ’s here in NY and the quality of their music is superb. If your liking what you hear and see here, definitely go Cop their album on iTunes… Its like $6.99 or so, but really worth it. I co-sign that.
Whats New 8/30 – 9/5
As promised, as part of this new platform we have a featured sample, video, and down loadable mixtape. But we’re often stealth in updating this. So From now on, every Sunday, look for the update. And as a courtesy to you, I will create a regular post on Sundays updating you on whats new.
This week.
It seems that there are recurring artist featured for “Sample of the Week”. I have come to realize that there are simple some artist who do it better. one of these artist, is Lupe Fiasco. Our sample of the week was sampled in Lupe Fiasco’s “Us Placers”, which had a wonderful video shot by Vashtie by the way (seen below). The track sampled Radiohead’s Thom Yorke “The Eraser”. I love samples, because sometimes it can introduce you to an existing artist entire body of work. Consider Thom Yorkes “Eraser” added to my collection.
The “Video of the Week” is like a instant vacation. The first time I saw this video, I was transcended to another place, not sure exactly where, but it wasn’t NYC. The use of color, mystery, and nature are amazing in this Friendly Fires video for “Kiss of Life”.
And lastly. Our new mixtape of the week, Curtis Santiago. Several indie music fans are aware of this gent. Did you all know he had a mixtape out? i personally received my introduction to Curtis at his show here in NYC at Santos. Well the second introduction, I was not aware that it was him on Mickey Factz “Automatic”, which is probably my favorite song from him to date. Anyway “Have Mercy’ is a collection of Curtis Santiago spinned tracks, touching works by artist such as Lykke Li, Santigoldm Kid Cudi, and Kings of Leon as well as a few of his original works.
