TheEargasm Welcomes J to the Ro
Were excited to announce the addition of Aussie born, Cali part time resident Jenna to the Eargasm team. Jenna and I first united over the agreement that Curtis Santiago is a dope musician. I respect her ear, and she loves the Eargasm.. That makes for a happy union. I mean, her Myspace page song is Ninjasoniks “Somebody’s gon Get Pregnant”. How could we refuse?
Jenna is new to the blog scene but has contributed to several blogs and online magazines this year. Her ears are always searching for something unique and fresh whether it be a smooth, crooning hook or a beat that’s crazy kicking it. Coming from down under Australia, she moonlights as a flight attendant between her hometown of Melbourne and Los Angeles so you can usually find her shopping along the Hollywood streets of Fairfax or Melrose or checking out Los Angeles underground Hip Hop scene. She has a love of dope music, female streetwear fashion, art and tattoo’s.

TheEargasm is beyond happy to announce the addition of Kirsten Nicole to our family. Bringing something a little different to the site, we have realized the importance of Twitter in today’s society. Its become a household word, served as a center piece for this years past MTV awards, and it is currently one of the top social media pastimes/activities in the world. With so many ways twitter can help your career and endeavors, Twitter and social media, failure to be up on you social media game can annihilate your chances of connecting with your intended audience. We figured it would be mutually beneficial to have the woman who co-authored, The Twitter Survival Guide join the team. The Eargasm is an indie music focused site, and we recognize that a large portion of our audience is actually artist and management teams themselves.
Kristen really needs no introduction. With nearly 11,000 followers on twitter, people know whats up. She is currently authoring Twitter for Women. Here is a brief excerpt from her bio:

Hey everyone!
I know it’s been long overdue but I wanted to make sure that you digested all the info from the first FB Music Marketing post. I know I gave you a whole lot to chew on from Facebook Pages vs Facebook Groups, to explaining in detail what a Facebook page is and what a group is and why you should use it to market your music and/or band. If you missed that particular post just click (here) to back track and catch up with us.
Now for Part 2 of FB Music Marketing I will explain the powers of Facebook vanity URL.
I know you are probably thinking, what is a vanity URL? Well to explain it simply the vanity URL is an domain name, unique URL created to point to something to which it is related and indicated in the name of the URL. It is an important aspect of most social media websites. Take example ‘The Eargasm’ Twitter vanity URL Twitter.com/theeargasm, it allow you our dedicated readers to find us easily on Google or Yahoo search engines as well it allows us to easily share our branded vanity URL Twitter profile with you.
To obtain a Facebook vanity URL you must first have a Facebook profile and or page.
Just an reminder, if you are confused between what a Facebook profile, a Facebook ‘Fan Page’ and a Facebook group is then please visit Part 1 of ‘The Eargasm’ Facebook Music Marketing post.
To obtain your Facebook vanity please visit http://www.facebook.com/username/
Make sure you crate a vanity URL that will stand out. If you are an administrator of a Facebook Page, you will be able to choose your username at facebook.com/username just like a user selecting a username for their profile. There will be an interface for you to choose usernames for the Pages you administer.
If you are not able to add a vanity URL to page please do not worry. All Pages created after May 31, 2009 or that had less than 1,000 fans on that day are eligible to claim usernames if they have more than 25 fans. So simply grab 25 fans for your page and you will be eligible for your vanity URL.
For more information about vanity URL’s please visit http://www.facebook.com/help.php?page=900
So that is it for this week. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have. I will answer pretty much anything. Oh yeah almost forgot, make sure you visit http://www.facebook.com/eargasm.music and fan use / add us as a friend.

Erik Hassle
Another artist from Sweden. A brief email from his marketing company introduced me to him. Considering that Mr.Hudson’s “Supernova” left me feeling rather void today, this picks right up where it left off, before it completely drops.
Erik Hassle is not yet a household name, nor can he attest to the blog stardum other artist have conjured, but this twenty year old singer will instantly woo many American ears once they get a good listen of him. The track included , “Hurtful” has been a hit over in the Sweden and is slowly climbing its was into the iTunes collections of UK listeners.
I’m a fan.
His album drops February 2010.. I’m waiting
Scarlett Johansson???
And I actually really like her voice.. this is live….Shes gorgeous and like more than normally talented?
