Okay I admit that I didn’t listen to the Gone Fishing mixtape. But I stumbled onto this song thanks to an email set over to give me a heads up about a Jade feature. Thanks Meezy. It features Tennille, this chick I was checking for musically back in the Myspace days. So this kinda made my morning that she’s resurfaced on my radar.

There is so much thats great about this song. Considering that it’s Black History Month, I figured I’d play this song from Hip Hop History. The track, the video….and once you can get past the thoughts of Flava Flav’s present coonery, bask in the awesomeness of this video. And 20 years later, Post 9/11, we’re still fighting the power.
