Preview of Norse Projects Fall/Winter Line For 2010
Danish originated Norse Projects serves up a new batch of clean cut yet versatile menswear. The new line up from NP includes some lightweight jackets, crewnecks, scarves and my personal pick, a work shirt. These items may remind you of such brands as A.P.C (France) and Acne (Sweden), both of whom have a reputation for traditional fashions of the highest caliber. Make no mistake though; the Denmark brand has its unique flair intact.
This season’s pieces were put together with a little contribution from other labels. The boots are part of a collection designed by Trickers for Norse Projects. One of the new fall/winter line’s accessories is also the result of collaboration. The gloves which are 100% deerskin are produced in-house by the family owned and operated Hestra. These leather gloves are out in black, orange and yellow, all with ribbed black cuffs.
Norse Projects has been around as a pivotal store in Copenhagen since 2004 but they just began producing their own name brand fashions starting last year. Look forward to more classic and stylish gear from our Scandinavian friends in upcoming seasons.

Complex Fashions: Theophilus London
The electro-rap posterboy who dons one of Hip-Hop’s most intellectual sounding monikers also has one of the brightest styles around. Predicted by many hipster rap fans to be to music in 2010 what Cudi was in ‘09, TL is making the rounds increasing his notoriety in both the music and fashion scenes. In the February/March issue of Complex magazine, the mind behind the acclaimed This Charming Mixtape rocks 5 exceptional outfits. The spread does the rising star justice with some of my personal favorite brands, Acne, Shipley & Halmos, J. Lindberg, Oliver Peoples and Nom De Guerre.
London is not a stranger to streetwear brands either he has been involved in an ad campaign for Rock Smith, a name known mostly for color clashing and visually abstract hoodies and jackets. Check out Complex’s online only interview with Theophilus (Link Below), as well as some of the aforementioned photos.

What I wish I wore today.. RAP edition
I love doing these. Since I’m saving for a new Macbook and a few trips, this helps me exercise my desire to shop
Since I’m working on a business plan today, this went with the “mood”

I need this in my life
I’ve already stated that an item I would like to acquire before I lave this earth is a Goyard Trunk. I think I want to add this to the list. You see that joy on Ye’s face? I can surpass that expression by like 10… Just send that bag in the mail to me with a camera crew and watch the magic.
I wouldn’t mind that fur that Ms. Rose is rockin either.
WIWIWT RAP
So its about time I get in on the What I wish I wore today fun. My best friend introduced me to an awesome website called Polyvore, that allows me to create a look. McSteezy’s been outshining me on this. So lets see if we can get a little thing going. Feel free to post your comments about the sites or to hit me up if you want to inquire where a particular peice comes from.
Its so cold here and I’ve been fighting a cold, so this outfit is designed to keep me warm and comfortable in these bustling NYC streets. I love everything in this collection. But I NEED those boots.

Toy Soldier Rings
Cool concept yes… Hazard to myself wearing this? Yes.
As part of her “Mourning Jewelry” collection, accessory designer Gisele Ganne created a collection of awesome toy soldier rings. Perhaps these rings can be a symbolic gift for a wife, mother, daughter or sister with a loved one in the military.
Happy Feet
These shoes remind me of custom skippies my aunt used to make back int he day and sell at the flea market in Queens.. They’re a few notched up, but I’m dead set they copped pair of hers back then and have been working on perfecting it every since. I’m not a hater. I like these. The company responsible is Osborne design.
They retail between $65 and $135….Whats your favorite pair?

Berluti is notorious for their classic shoes. This item has those same elements but just makes the cut to qualify as a boot. It’s an undeniably smooth look and if you can dish out a stack for this fantastic and stunning pair, then do so. The “New Physio” boot comes in a brown that stands out and gives off a classy vibe. This fine product is manufactured in Italy.

Italian fashion staple Gucci has always had an arsenal of boots to satisfy the seasons need for high-end yet heavy duty footwear. The boot is showcased in pure black leather with the bottoms and laces adorned with the traditional green and red, the flag of the brand. It’s winter, it’s Gucci. Enough said.

Retail $695

Cole Haan is one of my brands of choice for shoes to utilize in daily use. Their loafers and hard-bottomed dress shoes are often fashionable, but this distinctly constructed boot is a pleasant surprise in their collection. The “Air Brandon Lace-Up” boots include the Nike air technology that Cole Haan has been fusing into their lines for sometime now.

Diesel’s “Wormate II” model is seemingly a collaboration between the battlefield and the runway. Diesel boots are likely to be in high demand this year so grab yours a.s.a.p.

The “Bootcamp” model is another product of Diesel’s new showing of winter gear for the 09’/10’ cold months. It’s a comfortable and versatile piece of footwear, coming in a neutral gray with a flare of an almost mustard yellow on the heel for some extra eye catching.

Palladium’s will likely be the most bang you’ll get for your buck this winter, being both the economical and stylish choice. The rubber sole and comfortable design is partial to neither urban expeditions nor the ruggedness of the outdoors life. Designed well for both city and rural lifestyles, expect to encounter a good amount of these on the feet in the street and elsewhere during upcoming snow days. The pair is made mainly of canvas and available in many colors. This brand has been producing boots since just after WWII and will only continue to be a player in the field.
