Since featuring the release of her EP, “It’s your Heart Cookie” back in the spring, things have really taken off for Jade.As the only female on GFC, she’s in great company of extremely talented individuals including Stalley and Mickey Factz. Several CMJ showcases and blog features later, she still found time to answer our 5 questions.

1). What Gives you an Eargasm? A good soundtrack to a good movie!!
2). Album or work with a Guaranteed Eargasm Experience other than yours(or that your directly affiliated with)? Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Karen O. Chris Martin, Alice Smith.. brilliant voices.
3) Something you learned this week. I learned that sleeping on the floor is actually quite good for your back.
4) Song you would wake up to every morning if you could? Don’t Panic by Coldplay. easy.

5) We’re tired of Swag. Give us your alternative to the overused word.
Bitty bop. Its overused in my head already. Final Answer.
Jade Webisode 2
So upset I missed her Hiro performance during CMJ. We suck for that.
Here’s the second installment of her webisode series.

A 2003 graduate of LaGuardia High School, Jade saw a brief stint on Pharells’ Star Trek Label where she said she felt more like a bench warmer. Pharrell likes keeping Benchwarmers over there huh? (Enter Suge Knight at the Source Awards “Don’t want executive producers all up in your videos, all on your records….”) Now this Brooklyn born and raised singer is making noise with GFC.
Being that she is allowed more creative freedom, Jade vows to write songs that focus on the state of human condition. I know artist hate comparisons, but she reminds me of a more soulful Nelly Furtado. Jade’s sound encompasses so many aspects that it would be hard to accurately peg her. The album, mixtape, whatever she chooses to release is highly anticipated in our camp.
Definitely Download the “Its My Heart Cookie” EP. Jade will also be performing at the Black Apple show July 14th in NYCÂ at SOB’s with Mickey Factz and the GFC Fam.
