The XX “Crystalised” Acoustic Version
The regular version of this song was actually one of my top songs of 2009. Ran across this little video of the acoustic version and decided to share it with those who might not have gotten to see it. Because here at the Eargasm we believe, sharing is caring.

Kid Cudi on Conan O’Brien
Funny enough i had a Cudi relapse today and was listening to his mixtape. Regardless of the audience blows and all. Still love ya Cudi.
Toy Soldier Rings
Cool concept yes… Hazard to myself wearing this? Yes.
As part of her “Mourning Jewelry” collection, accessory designer Gisele Ganne created a collection of awesome toy soldier rings. Perhaps these rings can be a symbolic gift for a wife, mother, daughter or sister with a loved one in the military.

My Jansport Memoir
December 3, 2009 by rap
It was about this time of year. I put my Christmas order into Grandma, not Santa. After coveting the items of clothe that adorned the backs only my most popular and fashionable classmates, it was time. Since my mother insisted the Venture (anyone remember that store) brand, Eastport, bags were just as good, I went the Grandma route. Surely she would understand how essential it was that her granddaughter owned and proudly toted a Jansport backpack. I didn’t care what the color was, as long as it had the brown suede bottom, because the “suedeless” version looked cheap and less durable in my opinion.
Forget all the Tommy Hilfiger clothes and the CK Be perfume I had requested, on Christmas Day I opened the Jansport bag first. I had been poking small disguised holes in my presents from grandma since they arrived because she didn’t box the individual gifts. My first Jansport bag was royal purple. That bag lasted the duration of 5th grade and the entire 6th grade school year. I never “customized” it with white-out and permanent marker as other class mates had. I didn’ t dispose of that bag until high school. It lived up to its warranty. While other Jansport bags followed through High School and I eventually moved to no backpack at all, my first back was kept on reserve for sleepovers and flights.
Funny how as children we learn to associate class or socio-economic standing with simple possessions. As an adult, these things become jewelry, designer handbags, and vehicles. In my era as a school age child nothing said “my parents have money” like a Jansport bag and the most recent Air Jordan’s. This flashback was prompted by my train ride this afternoon as I observed a group of school age children on the train in their own worlds. At least 4 out of the 7 of them carried Jansport bags.
The outdoor gear brand whose motto is “Discover Freedom” has certainly adjusted to the times.
With Hounds tooth print backpacks, a career collection that contains laptop skins and a Twitter account, Jansport is trying to keep up with it’s once faithful market of 20 and 30 something adults who have graduated to more “mature brands” like TUMI, Samsonite, and perhaps Goyard. I wont be purchasing a Jansport for myself anytime son, but perhaps I will be purchasing them for my children or nieces and nephews. And of course I’ll make sure I buy them the kind with the suede on the bottom.

Rihanna “Rated R” Giveaway
November 23, 2009 by rap
Filed under Blog, Front Page, News
Today commemorates the release of Rihanna’s anticipated “Rated R” album and I am speculating my 1,000th follower on Twitter.
It has truly been a year of ups and downs for Rihanna. The events of her February 2009 domestic dispute with former boyfriend, Chris Brown, have been highly publicized. The public has disputed whether or not she deserved the brunt of his anger, whether or not she provoked it, included allegations such as giving brown an STD and questioned her overall character as a result.
In my opinion she has risen above this in true fashion and served as a role model for young woman going through this living nightmare everywhere. Domestic violence doesn’t just happen to 30 something housewives and mothers. I myself am an survivor of an abusive relationship. In celebration of my personal triumphs and that of Rihanna, I am giving away 2 iTunes gift CDs or her latest album “Rated R”.
TheEargasm.com is my baby, and while I brush on the details of my personal life, I often do not delve deep. The abusive relationship I was involved in occurred during my senior year of college, and while the choice seems easy, it took all the courage I had within myself and that I of which I derived from my family and friends to exit the relationship, for myself and for my future. I know for a fact that if I had remained in that relationship I would never have had the support nor courage to start this site, nor made the life changing move to New York City, and ultimately change the course of my life from existing to actually LIVING.
If one of my readers is involved in a situation that is either physically abusive, verbally abusive, or both, I pray that my strength, and the strength of other woman such as Rihanna, give you the courage to choose life over presumed love.
If you need help or know someone who may need help, check out the National Domestic Violence Hotline
The Giveaway works like this:
Tweet your favorite Rihanna song with the following hashtag #TheEargasm for example”
#Eargasm Rihanna “Hate That I love you”
Myself and VP of Marketing Starsky Robinson will randomly select two people to receive the CD. You do not have to be an existing or new follower of mine, and being a follower does not guarantee receipt of one of the CDs. This giveaway is to celebrate the strength that lies within us all and the ability to overcome adverse circumstances or situations, male and female.
Peace and Love
Ninjasonik
Don’t ask me what I was doing in a strip club on Sunset Blvd in the early hours of August 28, 2009. That is beside the point. Surrounded by near nakedness, I was ready to drop my panties with excitement when I heard Ninjasonik’s “Somebody Gonna Get Pregnant” start bumping through the speakers.

“I have to tweet about this!” I screamed to one of my girls, who looked at me like I’d just asked her for a dollar bill or something. Clearly she had no idea why I was so excited.
Ninjasonik, a Brooklyn based trio made up of Rev “Ja Ja” McFly, Telli “Bathroomsexxx” Gramz and DJ Teenwolf, are like nothing you have ever heard before. Long before boys on the dance floor were rockin skinny jeans, Ninjasonik were rockin dance floors with their infectious “Tight Pants”. Since dropping their debut mixtape “The Mix” in April 2007 and doing their first performance in August 2007, Ninjasonik now have their work cut out for them. “We constantly creating and constantly thinking, like we are never not working” Telli recently said in an interview “…there’s no limit to us, we’re not even 2 years old yet man.”
Self Proclaimed punk musicians, Ninjasonik have invaded other genres and have made magic with artists such as Spank Rock, Theophilus London and The Death Set just to name a few who are on the “Darth Bano” Mixtape, presented by Mishka which dropped in August 2009. Darth Bano, defined by Telli Gramz “…is me my alter ego. They call me Bathroomsexxx. When I get at full power, super-sane Bathroomsexxx level I transform into Darth Bano and me and my apprentices will conquer what y’all call the music industry.” They called it the first wave, the practice, the warm up. Ninjasonik warned the people to be prepared as a lot will follow. And they were serious.
“If you have any political/social/personal space sensibilities prior to a Ninjasonik show, prepare to throw that shit out the window.” -URB, Spring 2009 (Next 100)
Next they hit us with the Art School Girls album (available on itunes) along with a Ninjasonik x Mishka Tee Shirt. You can also see their handsome faces appearing in Rocksmith Lookbooks. Ninjasonik will be performing for Wiz Khalifa’s “Deal Or No Deal” Official Release Party on November 24th in NYC and at Good Life New Years Eve Party in Boston.
If you don’t already like Ninjasonik you can start loving them right now.
